MSP
MSP will cover $23.00 per session up to 10 acupuncture sessions per calendar year for those who enrolled in the premium assistance program. Eligibility is based on income. ICBC
If you have been in a motor vehicle accident, as of April1, 2019 you are automatically pre-authorized for 12 acupuncture sessions within 12 weeks of the accident date. Regardless of fault. All we need is your claim number. We are happy to offer direct billing to ICBC for your convenience.
If your injury requires additional sessions, we can ask ICBC to extend the coverage. No doctor referral or prepayment required.
WCB
WCB may allow acupuncture as part of your treatment program. Please discuss with your claims adjuster to find out more. Usually, you will have to pay for your treatments and submit them to WCB for reimbursement.
